She is a Silver Level Boxing Coach, a Level 2 Official and Referee with the USA Boxing Commission and a huge advocate for women in boxing.
She also wears the hat of a Matchmaker, Event Coordinator and Promoter for our amateur boxing events.
She has over 15yrs of boxing experience, the Founder of our Legacy Youth Empowerment Organization (a non-profit 501c3) and the Lead Coach for our Youth Boxing Program.

Yessenia Montalvo, Owner of Legacy Boxing Club, is a retired police detective from Newark, she worked in several divisions from Patrol, Narcotics, Cell Block, Communications, The Office of Homeland Security to the Detective Squad. She also worked as the Community Service Coordinator with Project C.O.P.E. at Montclair State University.
