Coach Herman

Herman, is a Mitt-Work Specialist, Boxing Coach, Strength and Conditioning trainer.
 
He thinks of himself as a student who fell in love with boxing. He has devoted himself in learning and perfecting the art of mitt work and made it into his own craft.
 
At the age of 19, he stepped into the boxing ring as a fighter and now has become a USA Boxing Coach.
 
He volunteers at an after school program as a boxing coach for underprivileged kids and would love to one day train with professional boxers.
Introduction to Boxing
Learn the fundamentals of Olympic-style boxing in this beginner-friendly program. Participants will be introduced to the basics of stance, footwork, punches, and defense while building confidence, coordination, and fitness. Each class is designed to be fun, safe, and structured—perfect for anyone new to the sport of boxing.

Boxing gloves, hand wraps, and a jump rope are required.

Who Can Participate: Bloomfield residents, ages 10–17.

Format: 1-hour classes

Registration: All participants must register through the Bloomfield Recreation Department to take advantage of this program and resident discount rates.
